House Rules

Check-in is at 4:00 PM. Check-out is at 10:00 AM.
Early or Late check-out is subject to availability and is an additional cost of $100 per hour for up to 3 hours. An early check in our check out greater than 3 hours will be charged for an additional day.
Self check-in is with keypad entry. For your security, we set a unique door code for every stay and send it prior to your arrival.

Ivory Rook House can accommodate 10 overnight guests. Additional guests past 10 will be charged $250 per person per night per the policy agreement. Up to 12 people are allowed to stay, maximum.
Everyone staying should be named on the booking.
Daytime visitors are welcome. However please keep in mind that parties are not allowed at the property.

No smoking anywhere on the property.
Smoke damage in a house this age is expensive and slow to fix, so this one carries a cleaning charge of $500 per stay.

Small pets are OK after written approval and for a $250 fee. Service animals are always welcome, as required by law. Unapproved pets are subject to a $500 fine per the policy agreement.

No lifeguard. Swim at your own risk.
Children must be supervised around water, outdoors, around the stairs, and within the entire property at all times.
No glass in or around the pool.

Children must be supervised at all times throughout the entire property.
There's no lifeguard, so children need supervision outdoors. There are also stairs in the property and children must be supervised inside at all times as well.
The top floor balcony is enclosed with planters, and we have signage stating no one, under any circumstance, is allowed to bypass them to step onto the roof. The roof is not part of the rental property, and access to it is prohibited at all times, for any reason, by any guest or visitor. This is a direct violation of our Policy, and guests would be subject to immediate termination of the stay without refund, and are fully responsible for any injury, damage, or claim that results.

Shoes off inside, please, as this is a very clean space.
No candles or open flames indoors.
Do not place food inside the dishwasher or inside the sink as this will clog our pipes.
Please be mindful of hair down the shower drains as this too will clog our pipes.
Please do not flush feminine products down the toilet.
Please do not to stain the furniture, as they are higher end, and please do not move furniture between rooms. We keep before and after photos of every room with every booking and expect guests to leave the house as it was found.
Tell us if something breaks. We'd much rather hear it from you.

You don't need to clean, strip the beds or take out the trash - that's what the cleaning fee is for! Just:

Lock up whenever the house is empty, and please return the key fob to the lockbox after your stay.
A lost or stolen fob will be subject to a $250 replacement fee.
Make sure the stove, and BBQ are turned off when not in use and at the end of your stay.

There's a private gated driveway on the left side of the home with space for 3-4 tandem parked cars.
Getting in: The gate opens and closes with a key fob, stored in the lockbox at the front gate. Your lockbox code comes with your arrival message the day before check-in.
At check-out: Please return the fob to the lockbox so it's ready for the next guest. Lost or unreturned fobs are subject to a $250 replacement charge.
Please note: Street parking in the neighborhood is reserved for residents. Additional cars past 4 may park at a local car garage or find local metered parking. Museum Garage is open 24 hours.
