Ivory Rook LLC operates ivoryrookhouse.com. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what we do with it.
What we collect
When you contact us or make a booking, we collect the information you give us: your name, email address, phone number, and anything you write in a message to us. If you book a stay, we also collect your dates, guest count, and billing details needed to process payment.
When you browse the site, we collect standard analytics: pages visited, approximate location, browser and device type. This is aggregate and does not identify you personally.
What we do with it
Answer your questions and confirm your booking
Send you the information you need for your stay: directions, check-in instructions, house details
Process payment and comply with tax and record-keeping requirements
Send occasional updates about the house
What we never do
We do not sell your information. We do not rent it, trade it, or hand it to advertisers.
Who else touches it
We use a small number of services to run the business, and they process data on our behalf:
Squarespace hosts this website and handles form submissions
Hostfully manages bookings and guest communication
Stripe processes payments. We never see or store your full card number
Google Workspace handles our email
Each of these has its own privacy policy governing what it does with data it processes.
Marketing email
We may send occasional updates about the house via email. Every one of those emails has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect immediately. Booking confirmations and messages about a stay you've reserved are not marketing and will keep coming regardless.
How long we keep it
Booking and payment records are kept as long as Florida and federal tax rules require. Inquiries that never became bookings are kept for a reasonable period and then deleted. If you're on our mailing list, we keep your address until you unsubscribe.
Cookies
This site uses cookies for basic functionality and analytics. You can block or delete them in your browser settings. Some parts of the site may not work as well if you do.
Your choices
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email stay@ivoryrookhouse.com and we'll take care of it. We may need to keep records we're legally required to retain.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 18 and we don't knowingly collect their information. Guests under 18 are welcome at the house, of course, as long as a responsible adult has made the booking.
Changes
If we change this policy we'll update with the date below. Material changes will be flagged on the site.
